Defense contractor Rocketdyne is denying responsibility for perchlorate contamination of water in the Simi Valley region. Their test site in the Santa Susana Mountains was the site of a partial nuclear meltdown in 1959. That plus decades of illegal disposal of toxic materials has caused health risks for local residents.
